Good Afternoon

Over the last couple of days your local neighbourhood police officers have been conducting speed enforcement on Sand Lane after concerns were raised by local residents. This is a restricted road (30 MPH limit). A number of vehicles were stopped after they were recorded exceeding the speed limit, with the fastest speed recorded being 54 MPH. Those drivers exceeding the speed limit have been reported for the offences for speed awareness courses, fixed penalty notices (with points) or a summons to court, depending on the amount they were exceeding the speed limit and their previous driving history. I am happy to say the vast majority of drivers were driving well below the speed limit.
