Crime Report Kirkby in Ashfield and the Rural Villages for the week to midnight Wednesday 23 April 2025


Officers from the Kirkby Neighbourhood Policing Team will be holding beat surgeries on the following dates.

AMEMONA SWEETS at KIRKBY LIBRARY, ASHFIELD PRECINT, KIRKBY IN ASHFIELD NG17 7AQ on Sunday 27th April 2025 at 2:30pm-4:00pm.

Crimes reported over the past seven days.

Burglary Dwelling

At some time before 3.00pm on Saturday 19 April in Woodland Walk, Kirkby in Ashfield, a window was forced open to gain entry to an unoccupied property. It is not known if anything was stolen.

Criminal Damage

Between 2.00pm and 5.00pm on Thursday 17 April in Vernon Road, Kirkby in Ashfield, a red Vauxhall Corsa car was “Keyed” leaving a large scratch on the front.

At 3.33pm on Wednesday 23 April on the footpath between Welbeck Street and Clumber Street, Kirkby in Ashfield, a report of three male teenagers, 16/17 years old, with faces covered, riding a small black motorbike up and down the footpath. Several times in the last hour or so.

At 4.35pm on Wednesday 23 April in Beacon Drive, Kirkby in Ashfield, three male teenagers,16/17 years old, wearing balaclavas, riding a small black motorbike at speeds of up to 40 mph in a 20 mph limited area. They were circling the area between Beacon Drive and Beacon Park.

At 5.07pm on Friday 18 April a report of off road bikes being ridden in the woods adjacent to Felley Priory, Underwood.
