We want to reassure residents that we are aware of concerns regarding off-road bikes being used irresponsibly in the Rishton area. We’ve received reports about off-road bikes on Bridge Street, Spring Street, High Street and Hermitage Street.
We understand how worrying this can be, and I want to assure you that we are actively addressing the issue. We are increasing patrols in these areas and taking steps to identify those involved. Off-road bikes being used in this way not only cause distress but can also pose a danger to the public. We are working hard to keep our communities safe.
If you see off-road bikes being used illegally (no helmets, no licence plate, no lights) or in dangerous manner, please report it to us via 101 or online. If you are aware of any names of any individuals or addresses where bikes are being stored, then please let me know by directly replying to this email. The information you provide helps us focus our efforts where they’re needed most.
