Community Centres

Good afternoon Resident

Hope this WMNow message finds you well.

PCSO's 31905 and 31794 have this morning visited x2 community centres in our neighbourhood. Community Centres act as hubs for gathering, offering spaces for events, workshops, and activities that bring people together. Additionally, they can serve as vital resources for vulnerable groups, offering support services and promoting social inclusion.

Local Community centres can be found:

  • 14 Kempthorne Avenue, Low Hill, Wolverhampton, WV10 9JG
  • Fifth Avenue, Wolverhampton WV10 9TB
  • 17 Chesterton Rd, Wolverhampton WV10 8SP
  • Fifth Avenue Community Centre has recently opened a community shop. Shoppers can save a lot of money every week on groceries by using the community shops instead of major supermarkets.

The council helped create the shops with an initial investment from the government’s Household Support Fund and provides on-going support, but they are run day to day by staff and volunteers at community centres and hubs.

    Have a great week.

    Steven
