Your Local PCSO's

Adam and Cara, are your dedicated Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) for Wigston. As your local PCSO’s, our primary role is to work closely with the community to ensure safety, provide support, and address any concerns you may have.

Our role includes tackling your priorities that #YouSaid via neighbourhood link, this month it has consisted of:

• Antisocial behaviour

• Road safety Issues

• Highway Obstructions

In response to these concerns #WeDid:

• Officers have conducted targeted patrols at peak times to deter drug use and general antisocial behaviour. Officers have been working collaboratively with partner agencies.💊

• Officers are actively addressing road safety concerns through a combination of enforcement, community engagement and challenging those who are using their vehicles in an antisocial manner.🚗

• Officers have been responding to reports of abandoned vehicles that have been causing obstruction, some vehicles which have been recovered have been identified as stolen vehicles and returned to their rightful owner. In other cases, vehicles that have not got the appropriate road certifications are off of the road.📂

If you want to update our priorities for the coming weeks then sign up to Neighnourhood Link via the attached link, and complete the short survey to let your beat team know what matters most to you in #Wigston.  https://eur01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fleicspolice.link%2FZuNuY&data=05%7C02%7Ccara.hayter%40leics.police.uk%7C5c73bb36c54941e599ba08dd81ab3d4d%7C6b0ff425e5e24239bd8b91ba02b7940a%7C0%7C0%7C638809294684637468%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=HFg4v%2BuhVKU53qXEJT7xqqkERsfEAHOrUKRcXeoSB54%3D&reserved=0👍

This week we have also been working closely with local businesses, helping them tackle shoplifting and improve security. By maintaining a visible presence and encouraging open communication, PCSOs are playing a key role in crime prevention. This role has also included getting CCTV to help Police Officers with identifying people who are committing these offences. 📷

PCSO’S have been walking the beat — checking in on vulnerable residents, attending community events, and being a reassuring face in the places we live and work. If you see your local officers do not hesitate to say hello!
