ResidentWELCOME
May I extend a warm welcome to the Neighbourhood Watch scheme, the largest voluntary organisation in the country. The Peterborough area is managed and supported by its Action Group committee who meet with the police every few weeks. We are led by the Peterborough Neighbourhood Watch Association a registered Charity CIO no. 1212057. The Association supplies the schemes with its Peterborough approved street signs @ £13 each. Membership guide leaflets, one per household, window stickers, posters and flyers and more. By its very nature Neighbourhood Watch includes groups of nearby neighbours having contact with each other and helping to identify any local issues with crime, disorder, safety matters, environmental safety -crime, helping and supporting each other as neighbours. A key element includes all neighbourhood watch people following the crime prevention advise supplied by the police and others such as Cyber Crime Watch.
The Woodston and Fletton area benefits from having its own area coordinator, who will message and update you from time to time. He is Craig Easeman, Craig is based on the south side of Fletton/Woodston.
Its important that you share any concerns and worries about the neighbourhood where you live. Also as mentioned, the Watch scheme is more effective if you have your neighbours also connected on this network. Perhaps you can encourage them to sign up? There is much information and guidance on the recently updated website for Peterborough. Do please take a look at www.nwpeterborough.co.uk The site also includes a shop selling low cost crime prevention items with a members discount. From time to time you will receive neighbourhood alert messages from the groups you have chosen when you registered. eg Police, National Neighbourhood Watch and Peterborough Neighbourhood Watch. Do feel free to reply to this message below. You have joined as a single member as opposed to being part of a Watch scheme.
Welcome again
