Important things to note in your area

Good afternoon,

There have been a few reports of incidents within the last week that may be of note, interest or for you to be aware of.

The first of note is there have been a few reports over the last week of a suspicious male around Rowley Lake, who is reported to have approached individuals and made them uncomfortable and distressed by their behaviour. Now that the evenings are drawing lighter and the weather gets nicer (although the rain today says different!), Rowley is a beautiful place for a stroll, but if you do see, hear or come across something suspicious, either there or elsewhere, or the behaviour of another makes you feel uncomfortable, please do call it in to 101 and pass us the description and the details. Our team is aware of the reports made and it is very much on our radar.

The second is there have been a few reports of trail bikes, scooters and e-bikes riding antisocially and making a nuisance of themselves across the Brunshaw, Worsthorne and rurals areas. We know that their riding can pose a danger to pedestrians or other road users, as well as causing damage to the landscape, grass and roads, and we have been looking at ways we can crack down on this, including doing a targeted operation recently. We encourage residents to call in incidents of this anti-social driving as and when it happens, and any details of the bikes or riders you can give us is always appreciated and helpful. You can also submit dashcam footage of antisocial drivers on the road here - LANCASHIRE POLICE - Lancashire Constabulary

With best wishes

Em
