Police Cadets

Good Afternoon,

We have had quite a bit of interest from young people recently wanting to know more about the Police Cadets in the Sevenoaks district. The cadet scheme is a nationally recognised uniformed police youth group led by a team of police officers, staff and volunteers who have experience of working with young people.

There are currently 3 schemes that Kent Police run. These are ‘Mini Police Cadets’ for primary school children aged 8-11, ‘Junior Police Cadets’ for those aged 11-13, and ‘Senior Police Cadets’ for those aged 13-16 (but can stay on until 18).

In the Sevenoaks district, the Senior Cadets are currently meeting at St Peter's Church, Hextable. At this time we do not have a junior scheme, and the mini's are held at a selected primary schools during school hours.

Please use the following link to find out more and keep an eye on there for when the waiting list for the senior cadets reopens.

Kind Regards,

Tim
