Yesterday, Monday 7th April, The Abbey safer neighbourhood team arrested a prolific thief that frequented the Stocky area. A 33 Year old male was arrested at Kingsway Retail Park in the process of stealing items from stores there. Officers had developed a plan to locate and arrest him based on his pattern of offending and this came to fruition when they sighted him on the retail park. The suspect has been charged with 4 counts of theft and remanded into custody, receiving an 18 week sentence.
