team news

Dear resident

Hope you are all well and having a good start to your week.

Here’s a quick roundup from your local policing team of some of the work we have been doing over the couple of weeks in the Blakenall area.

  • Patrols have continued across the neighbourhood in regards to off road bikes- The team have attended and patrolled around Bloxwich Academy, Bloxwich Lane after the school got in contact regarding off road bikes and the impact the noise is having on the learning environment for students.
  • Members of the team have attended Croft Academy, Croft St, Walsall WS2 8JE- linking in with the staff and students.
  • The team attended Reedswood Park- Sons of Rest Building, Talbot House after being invited to an annual start to the season BBQ.
  • Patrols have been conducted in the Leamore Lane area in response to reports of ASB towards business premises- behaviour includes banging on windows. The team have received CCTV and will be actively working to try and ID those involved- behaviour such as this is unacceptable.
  • Further joint visits have been conducted with Green Square Accord Housing.
  • Members of the team along with Walsall Housing Group and Walsall Council have conducted a letter drop on Valley Road. This is part of our on going efforts in relation to ASB and fly tipping – 11/04/25.

    Lighter Nights-

As the nights get lighter we understand that more people will likely be out and about later into the evenings. The above actions will continue as we enter the Spring and Summer months. We encourage residents to take steps in securing their home as we adapt to the lighter nights- for example the use of window blinds and anti-snap locks- remembering to be vigilant when going out and not leaving windows open. More advice on crime prevention can be found on the West Midlands Police website.
