Update from the Perry Barr Policing team


Dear Resident,

 

Local crime: 

Here are the crime updates for Perry Barr area between 21/02/2025 and 25/03/2025.

 

Rocky Lane – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 1am and 7am on 21/02/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Ford Fiesta. Offenders gained entry to vehicle and stole it by unknown means. 

Rockford Road– Theft from a motor vehicle – Between 7.30pm and 8.39pm on 18/02/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Fiat Doblo. Offenders gained entry by forcing the rear doors with unknown implement. Once inside the vehicle offenders have stolen various power tools including drills, and angle grinders to the value of £3,000. 

Brookvale Road – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 6pm and 9.51pm on 19/02/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Kia Sportage. Offenders gained entry to vehicle and stole it by unknown means. 

Booth Farm Lane – Other criminal damage to a vehicle – Between 6pm on 21/02/2025 and 3.20pm on 22/02/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Vauxhall Corsa. Offenders smashed rear windscreen with unknown implement. 

Cardington Avenue- Attempted burglary – Between 5.15pm on 06/03/2025 and 11.30am on 08/03/2025, unknown persons have approached property gained entry to rear garden. Offenders have thrown a cement block at rear patio windows, causing damage.  No entry gained.

Hillside Drive – Theft from a motor vehicle – Between 10.25pm on 08/03/2025 and 7.40am on 09/03/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Toyota Aygo. Offenders smashed the front nearside window to gain access. Offenders have dismantled and stolen the front end of vehicle. 

Turnberry Road – Burglary – Between 1.15am on 31/01/2025 and 1.15am on 10/03/2025, unknown persons gained entry to ground floor flat by breaking door lock. Once inside offenders have stolen CCTV, pots and pans to the value of £2500.

Dyas Avenue – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 12.55am and 1pm on 12/03/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Ford Transit Van. Offenders have entered vehicle from the rear doors. Unknown what was stolen from vehicle. 

Whitburn Avenue – Theft of a motor vehicle – Between 6pm on 13/03/2025 and 3am on 14/03/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Ford Eco Sport. Offenders have gained entry and stole vehicle by unknown means. 

Turnberry Road – Theft of a motor vehicle   – Between 12am and 12.40am on 21/03/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Ford Transit Van. Offenders have gained entry to vehicle and stole it by unknown means. 

Moor Lane – Theft of a motor vehicle -Between 12am on 21/03/2025 and 8am on 22/03/2025, unknown persons approached a secure, parked and unattended Mercedes Sprinter. Offenders gained access to vehicle and stole it by unknown means.

 

Local news:

  • Our officers have been actively assisting colleagues with outstanding priority logs and priority investigation logs. By addressing these priority issues promptly, we aim to reduce overall demand and ensure that our community receives swift and effective responses. Our team is dedicated to providing timely assistance to those in need and maintaining a high level of service.
  • 12/02/2025 – Over two days, the team located five stolen vehicles, which will be returned to their owners after visiting forensics.
  • Officers have been conducting high visibility patrols in Turnberry Park. Engaging with the community offering reassurance to local residences and school children.

  • After a man was arrested over the incident that took place on Bickford Road in Witton. Officers from the team obtained a closure notice, which was granted for the F J Lounge, under the Anti- social behaviour, crime and policing act.
