Recently in Paignton Town Centre there has been some youths trying to make payments with £50 notes.  These have been put under a UV light by a local business and they have confirmed that they are counterfeit. Image attached.

Please can I ask anyone handling money whether selling or buying  goods or services  to be very mindful of these notes, as they may already be in local circulation.  

If you are in doubt or think it is not right, then politely do not engage.  If you already have one and are worried, then please attend a bank who can confirm if it is real or not. Otherwise look online.
