STUN GUN FIND LEADS TO MAN'S ARREST

A man has been arrested after we stopped two cars in Tamworth and found a stun gun in one of them.

At 2.10pm yesterday (Wednesday 26 March), officers stopped and searched two vehicles on Ventura Park, Ventura Park Road.

They found a stun gun, a dash master with blue and red lights and a mobile phone in one of the cars.

A 21-year-old man, from Birmingham, was arrested on suspicion of possessing a weapon for the discharge of a noxious liquid/gas/electrical incapacitation device, fraud by false representation and using a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third party insurance.

He has been released on bail while our enquiries continue.

The second car was seized and the driver reported for having no insurance.
