End of 6 update

We will be using WMnow to tell you about actions we have taken each set of 6 shifts regarding our newly agreed neighbourhood priorities following our recent PACT meeting.

If you wish to attend the next PACT meeting to provide your opinion on where your local Police priorities should lie, the next meeting will be held at 18:00 on Monday 2nd June at Bentley Community Centre, Wilkes Avenue.

We have a number of meetings over the next week also: a coffee morning at Bentley Community Centre Wilkes Avenue on Friday 28th March at 11:00 and a Police surgery at Darlaston Library, King Street at 11:00.

Drug dealing

Officers have been conducting patrols in known hotspot areas, Officers have conducted multiple stop and searches under the misuse of drugs during these patrols. Officers are gathering information to act in the near future on individuals involved in drug dealing.

Speeding and parking around our schools

We are committed to being at our schools for start and finish times during our duty times to help tackle this issue. PCSO’s have been present at various schools in the area for these times and have moved on/educated a large number of drivers parking in obstructive and dangerous positions and will continue to do so. We are working with the local authority and will have civil enforcement Officers in company of Officers in the coming weeks to assist us in dealing with those who continue to put children and parents at risk parking in dangerous/obstructive positions.

Off road bikes/electric bikes

Officers responded to multiple calls regarding off road bike use, we will be issuing several Section 59 notices to people we have identified as being involved in unlawful off-road bike use and are continuing to gather information on those involved to allow us to act in the near future.

Other actions

1 x arrest for sexual offences

2 x joint visits with housing providers to those causing issues such as ASB to their neighbours

1 x loose horse contained near a local school prior to the RSPCA taking the horse to a local vet due to a minor leg injury

Multiple suspects for on-going investigations interviewed, who will be charged with offences taken place in Darlaston.

Large number of calls for service responded too by the neighbourhood team
