School Engagement by Safer Neighbourhood Team and Parking Concerns

This afternoon the Safer Neighbourhood Team visited Monyash Primary School to speak to the children about the topic of Road Safety.

The children were very enthusiastic and interacted well throughout the talk about the topic.

Over recent weeks, the team have received complaints regarding motorists parking on pavements, kerbs, yellow line restrictions and “School Keep Clear” zones at different schools around the beat area we cover, plus many schools have sent messages in the past to parents about parking near school.

We understand that school dropping off and picking up can be quite stressful and difficult at times, but when it comes to dropping off and picking up, please allow more time to make your journey and keep kerbs, pavements, yellow lines and “School Keep Clear” unobstructed as they are there to keep everyone safe!

If you would like the team to visit your school or community group, please get in touch via the following contact method asking for Bakewell SNT.
