POLICE OFFICER RECRUITMENT FAQs

❓ What is the minimum and maximum age for applying? 

💬  You can apply when you’re 17, but will need to be 18 upon appointment. There is no maximum age limit however it may affect your application to join the pension scheme.

❓ Do I need a driving licence? 

💬  Yes

❓ What support is provided to help new officers deal with confrontation? 

💬  We provide you with extensive training and support so you feel fully equipped to handle these situations. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided to keep you as safe as possible.

❓ Can I apply if I live outside Staffordshire?  

💬  Yes, we welcome applications from outside the force area, however, please be aware that you will need to be prepared to work across all locations within Staffordshire.
