Met Police Survey of the role of Ward Safer Neighbourhood Panels

From Philip Virgo as Development Lead for NHW in Lambeth

One of the requirements of a Neighbourhood Watch Association is that all Groups be encouraged to send one or two representatives to their Ward Safer Neighbourhood Panel.

I recently received a copy of the survey being sent to Ward SNP Members and Chairs by the Commander of Frontline Policing, for the Met Police. I completed it in my role as Ward SNP chair and asked the Ward SNP Secretary to send it to all SNP  members, including those who represent our local NHW groups.

I do not yet know who represents which NHW groups on which other Ward SNPs and the deadline for the survey, (intended to help plan support for Ward SNPs) is Monday 10th March.

To save time, I therefore invite those of you who are on a Ward SNP and have not yet been contacted by your SNP Chair to visit the survey  https://smartsurvey,co.uk/s/wardpanels/   find your ward within  Lambeth and complete the survey as a member of the relevant SNP.

If you do not know who the SNP chair is, then, by definition, you are not a current member. There is no need to do anything. But please message me, saying which NHW Group you below to. I will then ask the relevant SNP chair or their SNT contact to invite you to join.

P.S. Those of you interested in a progress report on the relaunch might like to visit Relaunching Neighbourhood Watch for the Internet Age and look at what is being piloted in the “Norwood Cluster”. But all clusters will be different: Lambeth is like Cleopatra: “Age cannot wither her, nor custom stale her infinite variety”
