🚨Post Box Thefts🚨


Post Box Thefts 

 

A number of the traditional Royal Mail red post boxes have been stolen within the Staffordshire Area, predominantly in rural areas over the past 3 to 4 weeks. These post boxes are not only vital for public communication but also hold historical significance.

 

We are appealing for anybody who has witnessed anything suspicious in the following areas, has any information as to who may be responsible, or has possibly had a post box offered to them for sale to please get in touch.

 

  • Gorsey Bank, Blymhill Common 
  • Coley Lane, Aqualate  
  • Newport Road , Stafford 
  • High Street, Gnosall 
  • Jasmine Road, Great Bridgeford 
  • Whitgreave Lane, Whitgreave

    We are urging the public to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity. 

     

    How you can help: 

     

  • Be Observant - If you see individuals acting suspiciously around a post box, if it is safe to do so, take note of their description and vehicle details. 
  • Report unauthorised removal – Only Royal Mail staff or authorised contractors should be handling post boxes. If in doubt contact us. (See below on contact methods). 
  • Security Measures – If you own a disused or private post box, ensure it is securely fixed and consider additional security measures such as CCTV. 
  •
