Hello Shaw Heath community! Your local neighbourhood police officer here with some important updates and information to keep you informed and safe.

Silent 999 Calls: In January, we received 31 silent 999 calls where our immediate presence was needed at scene - that's one every single day. Many of these calls were from individuals suffering domestic abuse who couldn't speak but urgently needed our help to escape a desperate situation 🏠😞.

Making a silent call: Did you know that pressing 55 after calling 999 from your mobile device alerts police operators that you need help but are in a situation where you can't talk? This simple action lets 999 operators know your call is genuine, and they will try and track your location. If you can't speak, listen carefully to the questions and instructions from our call agents in the control room so they can assess your call and arrange help 👀📱.
