Following on from our previous message in relation to an increase in theft from motor vehicle offences in the Halliwell area, your local neighbourhood team are working to identify those responsible. 

The neighbourhood team are asking for residents to check their CCTV footage after a number of incidents have occurred. We are appealing for CCTV footage/Ring doorbell footage from this area around the time of this offence. You may live on a street nearby and your cameras may have picked up the offender before/after the incident occurred, which may help us identify them. 

The first incident occurred on Battenberg Road, Halliwell, Bolton on 11th February 2025 at around 02:20am, where an offender entered a vehicle and stole items from within. So far we know that the offender was a male working alone, wearing combat trousers and a bubble coat. 

The second incident occurred on Hatfield Road, Halliwell, Bolton on 13th February 2025 at around 04:00am, where an offender entered a vehicle and stole items from within. So far we know that the offenders were 2 males in light coloured tracksuits.
