Extensive search continues to find missing man Malcolm

We’re continuing to carry out extensive searches using specialist teams and detectives in our efforts to find missing man Malcolm, from Lask Edge near Biddulph Moor.

The 74-year-old was reported missing on Monday night (20 January) and was seen at around 4.15pm on Sunday (19 January).

Officers have teamed up with volunteer search and rescue teams from Staffordshire, Cheshire and West Mercia and Buxton Mountain Rescue Team to follow up any reported sightings of Malcolm over the last few days. Extensive searches continue to be carried out at Knypersley Lake, his home address and the surrounding areas.

We’re continuing to deploy specialist teams, drones, sonar technology and local officers to follow up on any information that could help us find him.

Malcolm is described as 6ft tall, of slim build with fair hair.

We’re also now able to share a new image of Malcolm to help with our appeal for information.

He is believed to be wearing a black jacket, blue overalls and may be using a homemade walking stick, approximately one metre in height.

Anyone who might know where he could be is urged to get in touch using 101 or through Live Chat on our website.
