Crime Report Hucknall for the week to midnight Wednesday 22 January 2025


Officers from the Hucknall Neighbourhood Policing Team will be holding beat surgeries on the following dates.

Poundland, 60-62 High Street, NG15 7AX. Wednesday 29 January 10:00 – 11:00 

Morrisons Daily, Portland Road, Hucknall on Wednesday 29 January at 11:00am 

Hucknall Leisure Centre on Tuesday 11 February at 2.00pm.

Outside Co-op, Roman Crescent, NG15 8GL Thursday 30 January 10:00 – 11:00

Broomhill Road, NG15 6AD. Friday 31 January 10:00 – 11:00

Crimes reported over the past seven days.

Burglary Dwelling

Between Friday 3 January and 5.40pm on Tuesday 21 January in Lime Tree Road, Hucknall, a bag containing a weight was thrown at a window smashing the glass to gain entry to a downstairs property. The property was entered and a search made, items being moved around, eight radio controlled helicopters were stolen from the bedroom.

Burglary Other

Overnight Wednesday 15 / Thursday 16 January in Wigwam Lane, Hucknall, an angle grinder was used to cut a fence and an attempt made to cut the gate lock to an industrial unit. Two Belgian Malinois guard dogs escaped. 

At 2.27am on Wednesday 22 January in High Street, Hucknall, a male attempted to break into the Red Lion Public House, he damaged a gate lock to get into a yard before being disturbed. He was described as athletic build, slim, wearing a balaclava, black clothing with a silver stripe on the arm.

Between 7.00pm on Wednesday 15 and 8.00am on Thursday 16 January in Willow Avenue, Hucknall, a vehicle was entered through the drivers side door but the alarm was not activated. A search was made of the vehicle but nothing was stolen.

At 6.00pm on Saturday 18 January in Barbara Square, Hucknall, a company van, parked at the roadside, was broken into and a long reach saw hedge cutter, a blower and an electric hedge cutter were stolen.

Theft

Between 12.00 noon and 3.45pm on Saturday 18 January at the Butlers Hill Tram Stop, Hucknall, a mobility scooter was stolen. Described as looking like a little car, four wheels, grey/silver colour, black seat and a smaller seat painted purple and blue. There was some damage to the front which had been fixed with tape.

Between 1.00am and 1.00pm on Monday 20 January in St. Marys Way, Hucknall, a burgundy coloured Kymco mobility scooter was stolen.

Criminal Damage

Overnight Thursday 16 to Friday 17 January in Ermine Walk, Ryknield Road, Hucknall, windows to the front of a property were smashed. Two bricks were found under the window.

Between 11.30am and 3.15pm on Saturday 18 January in Edward Close, Hucknall, a passenger side wheel trim and the wing on the front bonnet of a red Mazda CX-5, parked at the roadside, was damaged with a sharp instrument of some kind.

At some time after 4.00pm on Sunday 19 January in Chatsworth Drive, Hucknall, a small glass panel in a front door was smashed.

Between 6.00pm on Monday 20 and 8.00am on Tuesday 21 January in Pilot Drive, Hucknall, the windows of a silver Nissan Juke car, parked on a driveway, were smashed.

At 7.35pm on Wednesday 22 January in Emperors Way, Hucknall, three white and one mixed race male, around 11/13 years old, all in dark clothing, one wearing a mask, were asked to leave the Co-op store. As they exited the shop one threw a sign at the door damaging a sensor.

ASB

At 1.15pm on Saturday 18 January in Farleys Lane, Hucknall, a report of eight off road bikes and three transit vans on land adjacent to Farleys Brook causing a nuisance. The bikes nearly running over people.

At 2.38pm on Saturday 18 January in Nabbs Lane, Hucknall, a report of two offroad electric bikes being driven very fast on the public highway, nearly skidding into a car that was slowing down. They entered the Nabbs Lane Park and continued to race around at speed.

At 5.45pm on Sunday 19 January in Ashgate Road, Hucknall a report of around ten youngsters pushing trolleys around the McDonald’s car park and throwing cones at cars in the nearby Tesco Petrol Station,

Around 8.30pm on Monday 20 January in The Connery, Hucknall, an unknown person kicked/punched a front door several times and then ran off.
