We have received worrying reports of possible squirrel poisoning in the immediate Burton Leonard area. Checks with Vets have not identified any diseases or illnesses likely to cause what is being reported. It is illegal to set poison for squirrels and any control attempts should requested through Council or approved pest control. Deceased animals should be disposed of in a way that prevents other pets or wildlife being able to access remains. If anyone is aware of this type of activity then Police would appreciate a call on 101 to update where we will direct concerned residents towards appropriate support. Thank you.
