New policing priorities announced for Welwyn & Hatfield

Good Afternoon Resident

The Welwyn Hatfield Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) have announced their new policing priorities for the coming months.
NPTs work alongside partners to focus on solving long and short-term neighbourhood issues, such as anti-social behaviour, theft, speeding and drug-related crime.

They set local policing priorities every four months, to provide a specific focus on the issues which are currently causing the most concern to residents locally. Feedback from members of the public plays a vital part, as well as an analysis of data.
Residents will see their dedicated team of PCs and PCSOs working alongside partners to address the agreed priorities below, through an increased police presence, engagement events and targeted enforcement.

As you are a resident of Welwyn & Hatfield South I wanted to notify you first about our new priorities that we will be focussing over the next four months:

  • Anti-social use of vehicles on Station Road, Welham Green - between Dixons Hill Road and Saint Thomas More Roman Catholic Church.
  • Anti-social behaviour committed by young people at Hall Grove Shops, Welwyn Garden City – specifically between Autumn Grove and Moorlands.
  • While there will be a focus on the local priorities, officers will continue to respond to daily business as usual, as well as forcewide priorities and any emerging issues which require more immediate action.

    Kind Regards

    Sgt Robert Wilson
