Dear Resident

Humberside Police are investigating a Residential Burglary

 

Location:  Westfield Park Elloughton HU15 1AN

Day / Date/Time:  Saturday 04/05/24   23:30 to Sunday 5/5/24 03:30 hrs

 

Offenders have entered through a gap in the hedge of the back garden, over a compost heap. They have arrived with a ladder which has been used to gain entry via a second-floor sash window which they managed to slide open.

 Once entry gained into second floor bedroom window an untidy search of both second and third floors has been undertaken. Several items of jewellery were taken. Offender exited the property via the ground floor and kicked open the wooden patio doors to exit the property, through the hedge onto the golf course.

 

If you saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area around this time or have information on the whereabouts of the stolen property or have any information about the offenders or have CCTV/ Doorbell camera, that may have captured this incident, please contact the police 101 quoting.

Keep the shed/garage secure at all times

 

     Fill in or fit bars over any windows & prevent a view inside 

 

Ensure all doors are secure with quality lock 

 

    Ensure hinges are coach bolted and cannot be removed 

 

    Fit a standalone alarm or connect it to the house system  

       

Chain & anchor the valuable/desirable item.

Saturday 4/5/24  Humberside police were made aware of a bogus trader operating in the Elloughton area of Brough.
