Appeal following collision in Codicote

Dear Resident

Officers are appealing for information, witnesses and dash cam footage following a collision in Codicote.

The incident happened on the B656 Codicote Road on Wednesday 1 May, shortly before 10pm.

Two vehicles were involved – a red Fiat 500 and a silver Ford Fiesta.

Two people in the Ford were taken to hospital with serious injuries and are now recovering.

Sergeant Tim Davies, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “We are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to please get in touch.

“Very sadly, one of the people taken to hospital was a pregnant lady and it is believed the injuries have caused the loss of her baby. Our thoughts are with her at this difficult time.

“Were you driving in the area? Did you see the collision or the vehicles involved? Please get in touch if you can help.

“You can email me at Timothy.Davies@herts.police.uk quoting ISR 834 of 1 May.”

You can also report information online at herts.police.uk/report, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat at herts.police.uk/contact or call the non-emergency number 101.

If you have dash cam footage in relation to the collision, please upload this at: https://upload.5fdams.aetopia.net?ref=76G8M3
