Witness appeal after assault in Stevenage car park

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault in Stevenage.

The incident happened around 4.30pm on Monday 29 April, in the Leisure Park car park, near to the station. 

It is reported that a teenage boy was walking through the car park when a verbal altercation with a group of teenagers ensued. 

The teenage boy, aged 17, was allegedly punched, causing a bloody nose. His glasses were also smashed.

Following fast-time enquiries, a 14-year-old boy was arrested in connection with the incident. He has since been released on police bail while enquires continue.

Detective Constable Matthew Reed, who is investigating, said: “I am continuing to appeal for anyone with information to please come forward.
