We have been receiving reports regarding dangerous parking and driving on Kiln Lane outside the primary school. We are asking people to be careful and considerate when parking and driving on Kiln Lane during school start and finish times. 

We encourage those who live near the school on Kiln Lane to walk to school if you can. Alternatively, if you can, we encourage people to park on neighbouring estates that are within a 5 minute walk to school which can also be used to drop kids off. 

Under NO circumstances is anyone allowed to park in a manner that blocks the entrance to the school or the entrance to the care home opposite. 

The yellow zig zag lines outside the school mean that no one can park or stop there. If anyone is found to be parking there, or even stopping/waiting there, they will be asked to move. 

Police will be patrolling outside the school at key times, and are working in conjunction with the school and local council on the issues regarding parking and speeding/ dangerous driving. Speed enforcement will also be conducted soon on Kiln Lane and in the surrounding area.
