Astley Bridge: Burglar Charged

Good Morning Resident,

I am emailing you to provide you with a further update in relation to the spate of burglaries, attempted burglaries and theft of vehicle's that the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team have been investigating in the Astley Bridge area. Officers have been working around the clock this week to catch the person responsible and bring them to justice.

On Wednesday, I emailed you to inform you that we arrested an 18-year-old man and a 25-year-old man on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary. They were released on bail whilst we made further enquiries.

Later that day, officers arrested another 25-year-old man in connection to the crime in Astley Bridge. This man has remained in police custody since Wednesday and I am pleased to inform you that this morning, following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, we have secured a number of charges.

Jordan Buckle (03/09/1998) of Dale Street West, Horwich has been charged with:

• 13 counts of attempted burglary dwelling

• Burglary other than a dwelling

• Two counts of theft from a motor vehicle

• Burglary dwelling

• Fraud

This is in relation to crimes committed at the following locations:

⏩ Templecombe Drive

⏩ Hill Cot Road

⏩ Ashworth Lane

⏩ Radstock Close

⏩ Sharples Avenue

He will appear at Manchester & Salford Magistrates' Court today.

Our investigation does not end here. We are continuing to gather further evidence to hopefully secure even more charges for the other crimes committed in Astley Bridge.

Thank you for your continued support.

Kind regards,
