What have your East Herts NPT been up to this week?

Happy Friday everyone! 🎉 Officers will be on duty this bank holiday weekend to help keep you safe 👍

In the meantime, here’s the weekly round-up from your hard-working Neighbourhood Policing Teams who have been out conducting proactive patrols and speaking with local residents and businesses 👮

📍 Bishop’s Stortford and Sawbridgeworth

PCSO Townsend and PC Scott visited Manor Fields Primary School to host their latest Mini Police session.

PC Scott attended a companionship café at the methodist church in #BishopsStortford High Street.

PCSOs Townsend, Rippon and Andrews from #BishopsStortford have been working closely with the Friends of Southern Country Park to help keep the area safe as the weather gets warmer.

Officers were conducting proactive patrols in #Sawbridgeworth when they stopped a vehicle in Redricks Lane. The occupants were searched and a 21-year-old man was found to be in possession of a small amount of cannabis. He was given a community resolution.

A closure order has been granted at an address in Bishop's Stortford following reports of drug use, dealing and anti-social behaviour.

📍 East Herts Rural

#Buntingford PCSOs Leon and Sally visited the Apple Blossom nursery group in #Braughing, as part of their ‘people who help us’ week.

Additional officers from the team have undergone training to utilise the constabulary’s fleet of all-terrain vehicles. The specialist equipment allows the team to patrol countryside and woodland that would otherwise be difficult to access.

📍 Hertford

PCSOs Graham and Suzanne visited Bengeo Primary School, to deliver the latest Mini Police session to not one, but two excited Year 5 classes.

PCSOs have carried out proactive patrols across the town and engaging with the local community.

📍 Ware and Stanstead Abbotts

PCSOs attended a ‘Knit and Natter’ session at the Nigel Coppins Community Centre in #StansteadAbbotts. The group members were really pleased to see the team and discussed advice around keeping safe.

PCSOs dropped by Van Hages to speak with members of the public about any issues or concerns and pass on advice. Visits to local businesses also provide a visible presence to help deter shoplifting offences.

I hope that you have a great Bank Holiday weekend and remember we are here over the weekend to keep the community safe!
