We're appealing for witnesses following a theft in Wallingford.

At around 2pm yesterday (01/05), a woman in her early twenties, was approached in the Waitrose carpark on St Martins Street in Wallingford. 

The victim was approached by a woman with a ‘disabled centre for the deaf’ board, asking for donations. The woman proceeded to give a small donation to this woman, and put her purse back inside her bag. 

At some point after this encounter, the woman’s purse was stolen along with a large amount of money.
