Man from Bemerton Heath sentenced for breaching court order


A man from Bemerton Heath has been sentenced to seven days in prison after breaching a Domestic Violence Protection Order.

Andrew Phillips, 60, of Winding Way, was sentenced at Poole Magistrates Court on Monday (29/04).

He was stopped from boarding a flight at Bournemouth Airport on Sunday (28/04) and arrested by Dorset Police.

Detective Inspector Tom Ellerby, from Wiltshire Police said: "Domestic Violence Protection Orders are designed to keep individuals safe, and breaching them is serious. Our priority is the safety and well-being of our community, and we will continue to enforce these orders to protect those at risk."
