Drug Disruption Warrant

Good Afternoon,

A warrant was executed at an address in the Watling ward based on intelligence provided by local residents and further evidenced obtained by police.  This was due to people constantly coming and going from the address and the smell of drug use affecting the neighbours.  On Friday 26th April 2024 late in the evening the warrant was executed by officers from the Community Safety Unit supported by officers from the Divisional Support Unit where entry was forced into the address.  One person arrested and subsequently charged for drug offences.  A number of drugs, drug paraphernalia, and weapons were seized from the address.

This was a good result and plenty more intelligence gained for the police.  Combined with drugs and weapons taken off of the street this is a positive outcome.

We thank all members of the public who have contributed in reporting any strange goings on.  Without you reporting these issues we as the police may not know what is happening, and therefore any information big or small is key for us to build an intelligence portfolio.

The Medway Community Safety Unit Beat Team will continue to provide a high-quality service delivered with absolute integrity.  We will continue to support and protect victims and catch criminals and solve crime.

Regards,

PC COOMBER
