Today your local Safer Neighbourhood Team have been out completing Speed Survey’s in the following areas; Chirk Road, Gobowen outside of Gobowen Primary School. Highest speed recorded at 41mph! The mean average speed was 24mph.Overton Road, St Martins outside of the Village Hall. Highest speed recorded at 35mph. The mean average speed was 24mph.Station Road, Weston Rhyn near to the level crossing. Highest speed recorded at 32mph. The mean average speed was 23mph.Church Street, Whittington near to the Castle. No speeds recorded above the speed limit. The mean average speed was 22mph. Numerous members of the public including school children spoken with in pleasant conversations and explanations of what was taking place, and it was largely welcomed. Other locations in each of the villages have also been identified / concerns raised and will be looked at next time out. |
