South Leicester - Weekly Update

Dear South Leicester Resident,

You are receiving the following email as a resident living on the Freeman Police Beat.

A verbal warning was issued this week to an individual after repeat reports of them causing anti-social behaviour (ASB) and disrupting to the local community. The warning is the first stage on an incremental warning system that if not adhered to becomes more severe on each step of the approach. The warning was issued in partnership with the local council and there have been no reports of further issues since to the delight of residents.

An individual who has been responsible for several local ASB reports in recent weeks was arrested after causing damage in the City Centre, the individual must now adhere to strict bail conditions and is now not allowed to be in certain areas of the community and is not to associate with others who have also been causing both ASB and criminal issues.

Tackling ASB remains a priority for the Freeman beat team and the above are both positive results, we would urge anyone to report any form of ASB to the local team.

As the nights are now becoming warmer and lighter for longer the team will continue to conduct visible and targeted patrols in hotspot areas to reduce, deter and deal with ASB.

If you wanted to speak face to face with one your local officers, then please come along to our next open beat surgery details as below. You can raise any policing concerns you may have or for any advice/information you require.

Wednesday 8th May – Saffron Resource Centre, 10:30am - 11:30am.

Kind regards.
