Drug taking and drug supply.

April 2024 UPDATE;

The beat team have been taking a proactive approach to tackling the supply of drug supply within the Cultural Quarter beat working with the Neighbourhood Priority Team and other Policing team to target those who cause the most harm making significant arrests. Likewise, support and help is offered to those effected by addiction working in partnership with other support agencies. 

Burglary Dwelling/non dwelling

April 2024 UPDATE;

High visibility patrols, visiting and speaking with known burglars and liaising with businesses and residences to reaffirm the importance of locking windows and doors has seen a decrease in the number of reported burglaries on the beat. The team continue to post regular updates of what they are doing in the community to combat this crime. 

Anti-Social Behaviour

April 2024 UPDATE;

With the warmer weather approaching (hopefully) the beat team have been working with various youth groups and agencies to advise youths on their behaviour and the wider impact this can have on the community. Once again, these regular updates are posted via Facebook and the Leicestershire Police Website.

Theft from Person

April 2024 UPDATE;

Targeted patrols in areas where thefts from person were occurring resulted in three arrests being made. These suspects are now on bail and since their arrest there have been no further thefts from persons within these areas. The team continue to complete their high visibility, targeted patrols and document this on Facebook showing where they have been patrolling.
