Crime Data for April 2024: New Waltham Ward Only


Dear Resident,

 

As a result of your calls for service, the following crime data is available for April 2024 for New Waltham Ward only. Once I receive the data for Humberston Ward, I will send it out.

 

Crime

There were forty-three reported crimes across the Humberston & New Waltham Ward for April. Of these, the following have occurred in New Waltham. 

 

Criminal Damage:                                                                                                              

  • Damage caused to football posts on pavilion playing fields. Damage to vehicles on Findlay Crescent after a car was driven deliberately into them. A male has been charged with this and other public order offences. 
  • Damage to a vehicle parked at Hewitt's Avenue. 
  • Two damages to vehicles on Priors Close. One male was arrested and charged with these offences, along with an assault, and possession of drugs. 
  • Three damages to internal fixtures and fittings at the care home on Peaks Lane. 

     

  • Other crime include:

  • Five assaults. 
  • Two reports of harassment. 
  • Two shop thefts and a making off without payment for fuel from Toll Bar Service Station.                                                                                                            
  • Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB)

    There have been six reports of ASB.                                                                                        

  • Youths riding mopeds over the pavilion playing fields – 5 calls.
  • One neighbour issue over loud noise.

    Your local Neighbourhood Policing Team appreciates the importance of being in the right place, at the right time, for the right reasons to reassure the public, improve public confidence and reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in the area in which we all live and work.

     

    We encourage all residents to call and report any issues where they live so that we can deal with any issues and step up our patrols in the area. The number to call for non-emergency issues is 101.

     

    If you feel that there are other issues affecting you or your local community that should be given priority, please inform your local councillors or your Neighbourhood Policing Team.
