Youth Engagement Team visit to Newtown Primary (25th April)

Glossop SNT - Youth Engagement Team

On Thursday 25th April, Glossop (YET) Youth Engagement team attended Newtown Primary School, Buxton Rd, New Mills.

We were there to complete an input about ASB (antisocial behaviour) and Crime for the year 6 students at the school.

⭕  Our aims and objectives were :-

✅ What is a Crime? - what is Anti-Social Behaviour?
✅ The several types of Crimes and Anti-Social Behaviour.

✅ To make the students aware that the age of criminal responsibility for young people begins at age 10.
✅ We also discussed the direct and indirect impacts of Crime/ASB and how it effects victims, perpetrators, family, and the community also.

✅ The students were made aware of how to report Crime 100% anonymously using sites such as @Fearless.org or by using 101 or 999

☑️ Glossop YET would like to thank the Head Teacher and Staff at the school for accommodating the teams input.
☑️ Well done to all the pupils who took part in the input that afternoon, who asked some very good and interesting questions.
