KEEP YOUR DOGS ON LEADS

Hi

Welcome to our new members that have recently signed up to Derbyshire Alert.

Please share this information if possible.

We have had reports this afternoon at approximately 15.00hrs that a couple walking their dog in a field which was occupied by sheep and their lambs thought it was acceptable for the dog to be off its lead,  and therefore was chasing the sheep.

ITS NOT ACCEPTABLE !!

The farmer caught up with the dog, instead of shooting it, he tried to reason with the aggressiv owner.

No damage caused to the sheep or lambs, but it could have been a very bad outcome.

So please, control your dogs by keeping them on a lead, else the next time might be a very different story.

Area was the fields around The Forestry at Rosliston.

Description of dog was grey in colour and potentially a Pointer.

Thank you for your attention.
