You may have seen Fylde Rural Task Force out today at our vehicle check point on Ballam Road in Lytham.

We have been working along side Fylde Council, Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and the Stolen Vehicle Team as part of Operation Sneaker. The operation aims to proactively identify and target vehicles which may be involved in general vehicle crime, incorrect waste management and fly-tipping within the community.

We have issued numerous tickets for motoring offences, seized two vehicles and even reported one driver who had not had a driving licence for over 10 years!

The DVSA have also issued numerous notices for unsafe vehicles and overweight loads.
