National NW has alerted me that you have proposed a new NW scheme for Oakfields Close / White Hill in Echinswell. Please note that we already have two approved schemes in Echinswell, one of which already covers the area which you had mapped ie Rose Cottages. I am copying the scheme coordinator on this email as I can see that you and around 12 other persons are registered on Ourwatch  in the area already covered. All of these people can be added to that scheme if the coordinator agrees.

I'm not sure if you noticed when joining Ourwatch, that entering your postcode provides a list of the nearest existing schemes which you can the apply to join. This is designed to avoid what I believe may be the issue with your proposal.

Having said that, there may be a valid reason as to why you want to set up a new scheme, inside an existing one and if so, please let me know. Also be aware that in the Basingstoke police district, all potential NW coordinators are required to be police vetted prior to being approved for the role. I am hoping that our existing coordinator will contact you and invite you to join that scheme, but if there is a different outcome, then do please let me know. IF necessary, I can send you the form to request police checks.
