On Thursday 25th April while PC 22058 Trowman was in Broadway carrying out mobile patrols he spotted a white Ford Transit van parked next to a driveway and the male driver was looking on the drive for scrap metal. The driver quickly got into the van and drove off. The vehicle looked in poor condition and so he caused the vehicle to stop and the driver was spoken to. Following some quick checks with the police national computer it revealed that the van had no current insurance or road tax. The driver was reported for the offence as well as having no licence to collect scrap metals and the van also seized and taken off the road.
