Derbyshire Police would like to make you aware of 2 suspicious males posing to be Eden Tree Care. We have received numerous calls regarding 2 males driving a white panel van posing to be Eden Tree Care and offering to conduct work on properties. We would urge residents to remain vigilant and ensure that any door to door sales people are fully vetted prior to any agreements being made and money exchanging hands. You can do this by; Googling the company name and reading the reviews Checking the business phone number online and calling this to check the person at your door is genuineLook out for uniforms or vehicle with logo's on (usually companies will show their branding on their clothes or vehicles) If you ever feel unsure about door to door sales people then we would urge you not to hire them to do any work. Please do not give out personal details e.g. bank details or let anybody you don't know into your home. Call 999 immediately if you feel threatened. |
