Our policing operation focusing on the issues that matter to you, is back in Sandwell today (25 April).

You will see extra officers on the streets and specialist departments such as roads policing, the dog unit and our drones team in the borough today to support Operation Advance. 

Activity in the next 24 hours will be mainly focused on our priorities for Sandwell such as serious youth violence, anti-social behaviour, theft and county lines operations. 

Staff and officers from across our departments, both locally and from a force level will be working together with partners and volunteers to deal with things that matter to the community. 

Sandwell Police Commander Kim Madill said: "Today sees Op Advance return to Sandwell after its previous success last September.

“Over the last few weeks we have carried out some significant work targeting county lines, anti-social behaviour and serious youth violence.

“The return of Op Advance will deliver more of the same.

“Please look out for us, come and say hello and do stop us and tell us if you see anything suspicious.”
