Update: BMX Track in New Waltham

Dear Residents,

I would like to provide you with an update in relation to my alert that I sent out on 27th March 2024 - I received reports that an assault took place on a young male who was using the BMX track on Monday 25th March 2024.

Your local policing team have increased their patrols in and around the BMX Track and have engaged with several youths and adults who were using the track for its intended use.

I have managed to track down a couple of victims who have not reported the incident to the Police and have no intentions on doing so.

I was sent a video of a suspect kicking a victim whilst he was on the floor, and I am still trying to identify the victim in this video.

Request to parents: Please ask your child(ren) if they used the BMX Track in New Waltham during the week from Monday 25th March 2024 and were assaulted in the process - please get in contact with me (even if it is by replying to this alert).

Through partnership working, we have managed to source a RDC (rapid deployment camera) at the BMX Track which will offer reassurance to users of the facility and will assist with any intervention that is required.

I hope that this offers you with some reassurance, that any concerns reported will be dealt with accordingly.

Please help me to make our area a safer place to live and work.

Feel free to share the attached poster with family, friends, neighbours, and social media by clicking the 'Share' button below this alert.

Kind Regards
