Weekly Update Bablake

Here is your quick round up from the team as to what’s been happening this past week in Bablake:

Burglary

I am pleased to report that no residential burglaries have been reported.

Vehicle Crime

There has been a theft from an Isuzu Pickup on Birmingham Road. Offender(s) has damaged rear doors and stolen a high-powered impact drill. This happened from 10:00 pm on Monday 22nd April to 05:30 am Tuesday 23rd April 2024.

We urge residents to take the time in marking and registering your property.  Tools and other valuables can be registered for free on the Secure Asset Register. Property which is marked carries a higher risk and is less desirable to thieves.

Also on Monday 22nd April between 10:15 pm and 11:15 pm a grey Ford Puma was stolen from Rylston Avenue.

If you heard or saw any suspicious activity between the dates and times stated above please let us know.

Across Holbrooks, Radford and Sherbourne

Stolen Goods

A warrant has been conducted at a property off Kingsbury Road to recover and prevent suspected stolen Items from being sold on the internet. A large amount of stolen goods was recovered and a male and female arrested for handling stolen goods and conspiracy to steal.

Arrests

A prolific shoplifter targeting a store in Holbrooks has this week been to Court and sentenced to two years in prison.

Firearms Operations Unit, Traffic Unit and CID recovered a car just hours after it was stolen from a robbery in Radford.  Two men have been arrested for robbery and possession of a bladed article. Robbery and vehicle crime are a priority and operations are being carried out against those that steal cars, sell cars and chop shops these vehicles are often taken to.

A vehicle stolen off Sandy Lane has been recovered and a male arrested.
