Good evening to all the Heywood Residents. 

This may not come as a surprise for those who have been out and about in Hopwood today but, your local officers have been conducting a traffic operation to assist in keeping Heywood’s roads safer. 

If you were one of the cars that were stopped today you may not appreciate this update however, your safety and everyone else’s is paramount to us at Heywood. Everyone should feel safe on the roads we all share. So just a quick update as always. 

 Over 30 cars were stopped and spoken to, 11 TOR’s (Tickets) were issued, 1 vehicle was seized and removed due to causing an obstruction and 1 person was arrested for failure to provide 

As your local beat officer for Hopwood, I know the roads have become a concern for you all, and it is something we are working on and these operations will not be a one off. This has been a successful day and I wanted to share the success with you all and we look forward to the next one, wherever we may be.
