Hyde Godley Catch Up

Good evening Hyde Godley, it’s been a while, how you doing?  As always, your neighbourhood team have been busy.

Speeding – Sheffield Road, Hyde

We have had reports from concerned residents regarding speeding motorists. As previously mention in past updates we are currently in the process of getting more Speedwatch volunteers, unfortunately this is taking longer that we would like, but the team will be paying more attention to Sheffield Road over the coming weeks.

Police Surgery

Apologies to you all as it has been a while since we had one. A date will be organised this week and I will let you all know once it booked as we have a new possible venue.

PACT Meetings

The team attended a joint PACT meeting with the Werneth Team last week. For those that don’t know, PACT stands for Partners and Communities Together. During these meetings ourselves and partner agencies meeting to discuss issues that are affecting our area and look at possible ways to improve/resolve them. We were joined at this meeting by Tameside Council and Jigsaw Housing. Some of the issues discussed were traffic calming measure and Anti-social behaviour (ASB).

Protests at Hyde Town Hall

Some of you may have seen over the weekend there was a protest outside Hyde Town Hall over the events concerning the Gaza/Israel situation. The team attended and aside from one drunken male who came over to the protesters and was then moved on by an officer was good natured and passed without incident.

Community Events

Hyde will be hosting brass bands this year on 24/05/24 between 4pm-10pm.

If you have community events going on in the area, drop us a message and we may be able to attend or publicise it for you.
