There has been an increase in “Try Handle” Burglaries over the past few days, within the North Lincs Area.

A “Try Handle” burglary is when the offender(s) go around addresses and streets trying door handles on houses or cars to see if they are unlocked, in order to steal.

Please check your doors, windows and vehicles to ensure they are locked and secured. If you have a house alarm make sure it is activated and if you have a keyless entry/start vehicle, consider placing your vehicle keys in a “Faraday” pouch or box, or imobolise the keyless entry.

So far there has not been any recorded incidents within the Brigg & Wolds area.
