Finding urgent healthcare when you need it

We all want the quickest route to urgent healthcare and with the media stating the current crisis we’re not always sure where to turn.

NHS 111 is often the best starting point, as you’ll be directed to the best service for your needs. Did you know they can book you urgent appointments with a GP outside normal opening hours? Go online, phone 111, or use the NHS App.

Find a pharmacy

Struggling with a sore throat or sinusitis? Most pharmacies can now supply prescription medication for these and five other common conditions, without you needing to see your GP first. You can find out more on this NHS webpage.

The NHS service finder is an easy way to find a nearby pharmacy and check opening times.

Find links relevant to your local area below, which give details of where to find Local Pharmacies, urgent Dental care, Eye concerns and urgent Mental Health support:

  • Cannock and nearby areas

  • Stafford

  • Stoke-on-Trent

  • Leek and Biddulph

  • Burton

  • Always remember, in case of a life threatening emergency call 999 to request an ambulance
